Environmental Homestore, Veritas Remodeling LLC, and Organic Home LLC have partnered with realtor Beverly Chandran to bring you a series of workshops. The workshops will introduce you to green building materials and examples of quality design and installations.

Learn how to turn your home or workplace in to an eco-friendly environment. This workshop is an opportunity to:
• Meet local industry experts who can answer those burning questions that have caused you to be on the fence about "going green"
• Learn 10 Easy Ways To Be SuperGreen
• Learn how to implement that upgrade in your home using a variety of sustainable materials/products; and
• Schedule a viewing to see new Eco-friendly residential projects in Philadelphia.

Greater Philadelphia Sustainable Business Network Members' Picnic

Inverbrook Farm, 345 Lamborntown Road, West Grove

Mark your calendar for the annual SBN Members' Picnic. The day will include a potluck lunch and lots of fun. SBN Members are asked to bring a dish or dessert to contribute to the potluck: last names A-L, bring a main dish; last names M-Z, bring a side dish or desert. Alternately, you are invited to contribute $5 per person in lieu of food towards beverages, plates and utensils. You must tell us whether you plan to bring food or $5 per person when you RSVP.

GreenFest Philly!

South Street and 2nd, Philadelphia, PA

This year over 200 exhibitors and 20,000 visitors will fill the streets to learn and share how easy it is to be green! Live music, Green Fashion Show, Eco-Poetry Contest, Eco-Art Show, Film Tent, Kids' activities, sneakerrecycling, healthy food and The ORGANIC VEGAN PASTRY CONTEST. From sustainable living tips to environmentally conscious fun for the whole family, there will be something for everyone at this year's GreenFest!

This year's event theme is water. Challenge yourself to think about water quality, conservation and consumption. What's your impact? What can change? Grey water systems, water-conserving appliances and rain barrels are just a few ideas. Did you know that it takes 5 liters of water to produce a 1 liter plastic bottle of water? Think about it! Make a difference! Oh, and don't forget your reusable water containers--fill up at our FREE FILLING STATION!
